Chapter 8 – Theo

I couldn’t believe what I’d just experienced. What I’d just experienced was mind-blowing, and yet it left me in a state of confusion. Andrea was amazing, there was no doubt about that, but I also couldn’t deny that it was amazing because of the dynamic between the three of us. I didn’t doubt that I would have had a fantastic time if it had been Andrea alone, but because she was at the same time interacting with another person, it made everything more intense, something constantly in motion, more so than if it had just been the two of us.

“Oh man,” Kurt said as I returned from the bathroom. While I was in there, they had pulled out the hide-a-bed. Andrea was repositioning the projector so that it still was somewhat able to project on the sheet, not that any of us had watched any of the movie. “Oh man, that was fucking great.”

“Tell me about it,” Andrea said, leaning forward and kissing him before climbing into the bed and pulling the sheets over her. “I didn’t quite expect that.”

I climbed in next to her and pulled her closer to me, my fingers playing with the fiery hair draped over her bare shoulder. I breathed her in, letting her scent caress the back of my throat as it made its way into my chest. I was convinced: Andrea was my mate. After such an experience, such closeness, such intensity, I couldn’t deny that she was anything else.

“But seriously, babe,” Kurt went on. “That was amazing. I have never had anything like that. Who knew sharing a girl with another guy could be so great. I was a bit weirded out at first, but man, that was so unexpected. I never thought it would be so hot doing a chick while she was giving a guy head, either.”

“We get it,” I said, trying to keep the harshness out of my voice. If Andrea liked this guy, I didn’t want to ruin anything. And he wasn’t wrong. I wanted to sing from the rooftops how incredible I felt, how Andrea made me feel, and how I had just shared an intimate experience with my mate. At the same time, I knew what would spoil the moment, knew what was tactless, and this joker was tactless.

Kurt wriggled an arm around Andrea’s waist and curled up behind her, spooning her as she cuddled against me.

“I know, I just—thanks, guys. I can’t express enough how happy this has made me,” he said.

Andrea giggled and turned her head to face him, letting him kiss her. If her face hadn’t been there, I didn’t know that I would have been able to hold back from elbowing him in the face and breaking his nose. I couldn’t say how much satisfaction that would have given me.

“I’m going to go to the bathroom,” Andrea said, squirming out from between the two of us and bouncing away gracefully.

“What a woman,” Kurt breathed. “Can you believe what just happened?”

“Yes,” I lied.
